Second Year students of the Associate Degree programme in Computer Systems Technology visited the New Kingston hub of Flow Jamaica Ltd. Mr. Rohan Sinclair, IT Manager, explained that the facility serves as the major Hub for Flow’s Jamaica network and supports all of its corporate and residential services. He further explained the importance of the backbone routers that were used to route underground fiber circuits to the overseas circuits through the under-sea fiber. Locally, he explained that the Hub serves as the central point in the metro Ethernet ring around Jamaica, which traverses the route: Kingston – Portmore – Mandeville – Black River - Savalamar - Negril – Mobay – Ocho Rios – St. Thomas – Kingston.
